Asharani (Ashu) Devgune is a professional dancer, choreographer and freelance performing artist with more than two decades on stage in Indian classical and folk traditions.

Originally from Pune, Maharashtra, she holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Bharatanatyam from the University of Pune, and is a recipient of the National Talent Research Scholarship for dance.

Her repertoire spans Bharatanatyam, Indian folk dance and Bollywood. She has performed across India, Europe and Africa, and previously founded the dance school Nupur Nrutyala in Tanzania.

In 2017 she founded Ashu's Dance & Event in Gent, where she works as a choreographer and freelance artist — bringing Indian dance to festivals, embassies and stages, with an average of twenty performances each year.
